Saliora
Effective 21 July 2026
The short version: your health information stays on your device. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, we use no analytics or tracking of any kind, and we do not share anything with data brokers.
Saliora helps you track medications, supplements, vitamins, and wellness routines. This policy explains exactly what stays on your iPhone, the few things that leave it, and what we never do.
Everything you record in Saliora is stored locally on your iPhone and is not transmitted to us or anyone else:
This version of Saliora does not offer cloud backup or sync of your health records. If that ever changes, it will be opt-in, and this policy will be updated before it ships.
Because this data lives on your device, deleting the app deletes it. It is not recoverable by us, and we cannot retrieve it for you.
Only two things ever leave your device, and neither carries your health records.
a. Product lookups when you scan a barcode. When you scan a product, Saliora sends the barcode — a product code, not your health data — to public product databases to look up that product's published label details: the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD) for supplements, and the U.S. FDA's openFDA / DailyMed for medications. These requests contain only the product code. They do not include your name, your account, your other medications, your schedule, or any health information. Results are cached on your device so the same product is looked up only once. You can skip scanning entirely and enter any product by hand.
b. Your email address, only if you choose to create an account. Saliora works fully without an account. If you do create one, we send either your email address (for a sign-in link) or the identity token from Sign in with Apple. We store only an account identifier and that email address, and we use them for one purpose: signing you in. If you use Sign in with Apple's private-relay address, we only ever see the relay address. We do not read or store your name.
We do not send your medications, doses, notes, photos, or Apple Health data to our servers.
With your explicit permission, Saliora can read health measurements you select from Apple Health so they can be shown alongside the rest of your record. You grant this permission per data type in iOS, and you can revoke it at any time in the Health app.
Data read from Apple Health:
Saliora contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. There are no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app. We do not build a profile of you, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not use the advertising identifier.
Dose reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Reminder text can name the medication it is for, which means it may appear on your lock screen — you can control this in iOS notification settings, and you can turn reminders off in Saliora at any time.
Data on your device stays until you delete it, delete your account, or remove the app. If you create an account, the email address and account identifier are kept until you delete the account — at which point they are permanently deleted, not archived or soft-deleted.
Health records are stored in your device's app storage. Sign-in tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. You can require Face ID to open the app in Settings. Server-side, access to an account's records is restricted to that account.
Saliora is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what leaves your device, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change ships.
